1. Additional General Manager (Head of Operations)

  • Required Qualification: Degree in Engineering in Chemical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Experience Profile: Minimum 19 years of experience in the Commissioning and Operation of Methanol/Urea/Ammonia/Chemical process industry. Proficiency in Operation & Operation planning of Methanol/Urea/Ammonia/Chemical process plants and knowledge of safety systems is essential.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Lead the Operations department, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the CO2 to Methanol Plant.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures.
    • Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to achieve plant objectives.
    • Oversee plant commissioning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting activities.

2. Deputy General Manager (Head of Maintenance)

  • Required Qualification: Degree in Engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/Instrumentation discipline from a recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Experience Profile: Minimum 15 years of experience in Maintenance of Methanol/Urea/Ammonia/Chemical process plants, including hands-on experience in managing maintenance activities of large-sized plants. Knowledge of safety systems and relevant maintenance practices is essential.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Lead the Maintenance department, ensuring timely and effective maintenance of plant equipment and systems.
    • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures.
    • Monitor equipment performance, analyze data, and implement improvement initiatives.
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts procurement and maintenance services.

3. Senior Manager (Shift Charge Engineers)

  • Required Qualification: Degree in Engineering in Chemical discipline from a recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Experience Profile: Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in Shift Operations of Methanol/Urea/Ammonia/Chemical process plants. Hands-on experience in DCS/PLC-based control systems and knowledge of safety protocols is essential.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Manage shift operations, ensuring safe and efficient plant performance during the assigned shift.
    • Supervise and guide the operational team to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards.
    • Monitor process parameters, analyze data, and implement corrective actions as required.
    • Maintain accurate shift logs and prepare shift reports.

Assistant Manager (General Shift Support and Safety)

  • Required Qualification: Degree in Engineering in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical discipline from a recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Experience Profile: Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant field, with knowledge of shift operations and safety procedures. Experience in a Methanol/Urea/Ammonia/Chemical process plant will be preferred.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide general support to shift operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the CO2 to Methanol Plant.
    • Assist in the implementation of safety protocols and procedures.
    • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
    • Coordinate with the operational team to address safety concerns and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Engineer (Control Room Operators)

  • Required Qualification: Degree in Engineering in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical discipline from a recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Experience Profile: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in operating DCS/PLC-based control systems in a Methanol/Urea/Ammonia/Chemical process plant.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Operate and control the plant through DCS/PLC-based control systems.
    • Monitor process parameters, equipment performance, and alarms.
    • Respond to emergencies and implement corrective actions as per standard operating procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.

Candidates are required to possess a valid email ID. NTPC will not be responsible for bouncing back of any email sent to the candidates.
General/EWS/OBC category candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 300/-.
SC/ST/PWBD/ExSM category and female candidates need not pay the application fee.

 

Payment Method
Offline: State Bank of India (SBI) has been authorized to collect the application fee. Candidates need to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the "pay-in-slip" available on the application portal. The fee should be deposited in the specially opened account (A/C No. 30987919993) at the CAG branch, New Delhi (Code: 09996), on behalf of NTPC. The bank will provide a unique Journal Number and Branch Code for proper crediting of the amount. Candidates need to fill in the journal number and branch code during the online application. NTPC will not be responsible if the fee is deposited in the wrong account. 
Online: Candidates can also choose to pay the fees online through Net banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card using the online payment option available in the application form.
